Description

The Arista 7020TRA-48 is a 1RU fixed-configuration data centre switch from the 7020R Series, built for top-of-rack and edge deployments that need 1G server access with 10G uplinks. It runs Arista EOS and is the AlgoMatch-capable TRA model, with deep buffering for demanding workloads and cloud networking environments.

It provides 48 x 100/1000Mb RJ45 ports and 6 x SFP+ ports that operate at 1G or 10G for uplinks. It is non-PoE, with wire-speed Layer 2 and Layer 3 forwarding and up to 3GB of packet buffer using a Virtual Output Queue architecture. This -R variant uses rear-to-front airflow and ships with 2 x AC power supplies in a 1+1 redundant, hot-swappable arrangement. Typical power draw is 115 W, with a maximum of 125 W.

The SFP+ ports accept 1G or 10G optics and cables. Tool-less rails support both 2-post and 4-post rack mounting. Arista EOS includes a broad Layer 2 feature set with monitoring, provisioning, security, QoS and management, while advanced features such as EOS Extensions, Security and Partner Integration require separate software feature licences.
