Description

The Arista 7020R is a 1RU data centre switch built as a server-edge 1GbE leaf for leaf-spine designs. It also suits high-performance storage networks and big data, cloud, virtualised and media or streaming environments. This 7020TRA-48 variant adds AlgoMatch support and runs Arista EOS.

It provides 48 x 100/1000Mb RJ-45 ports with no PoE, plus 6 SFP+ ports that run at 1G or 10G. Throughput is 216 Gbps with 162 Mpps forwarding, and a deep 3GB shared packet buffer with Virtual Output Queues helps prevent head-of-line blocking. Accelerated sFlow is supported, and the platform handles up to 256K MAC entries and 200K IPv4/IPv6 unicast routes. The hash in the SKU means the fans and power supplies are selected when ordering, with reversible airflow and 1+1 hot-swap power supplies. Optional EOS feature licences for this platform include LIC-FIX-G-E, LIC-FIX-G-V2, LIC-FIX-G-FLX-L and LIC-FIX-G-FLX.

The SFP+ ports support 10GBASE-CR DAC and AOC cables, SR, SRL, LR, LRL, ER, ZR and DWDM optics, as well as 1000BASE-T and 1GbE SX/LX modules. Fans are FAN-7000-F/R and power supplies are PWR-500AC or PWR-500-DC.

A: It runs Arista EOS, and optional feature licences are available for this platform: LIC-FIX-G-E, LIC-FIX-G-V2, LIC-FIX-G-FLX-L and LIC-FIX-G-FLX. The minimum EOS version is 4.19.1.
