Description

The Arista 7020R Series DCS-7020SR-32C2-F is a 1RU deep-buffer data centre switch running Arista EOS with L2/L3 switching. It suits lossless 10Gb or 1Gb leaf roles in universal cloud networks, big data and HPC, media and entertainment post-processing, edge computing and high-performance IP storage fabrics.

It provides 32 x 1/10GbE SFP+ ports and 2 x 100GbE QSFP100 uplinks, which run at wire-speed 100G or break out to 10G, 25G or 40G modes. Forwarding is up to 1.04 Tbps and 300 Mpps, with latency as low as 3.8 usec and a 3GB dynamic deep packet buffer. The Virtual Output Queue architecture avoids head-of-line blocking and absorbs bursts. This SKU uses front-to-rear airflow with AC power supplies, and it is a non-PoE switch.

The SFP+ ports take 1GbE and 10GbE optics and DACs. Supported power supplies are PWR-400AC and PWR-400-DC, in a 1+1 hot-swap arrangement with N+1 redundant fans.

FAQs

Q: Does this switch provide PoE?
A: No. The DCS-7020SR-32C2-F is a non-PoE data centre switch with SFP+ and QSFP100 ports only.

Q: Which power supplies does it support?
A: It supports PWR-400AC and PWR-400-DC in a 1+1 redundant hot-swap arrangement. The -F suffix indicates AC power with front-to-rear airflow.

Q: What can the QSFP100 uplink ports do?
A: They run at wire-speed 100G or break out to 10G, 25G or 40G modes.

Q: Do the SFP+ ports support 1G as well as 10G?
A: Yes. Each of the 32 SFP+ ports supports both 1GbE and 10GbE modes.
