Description

This 200GBASE-CR8 breakout direct attach cable connects a single 200G OSFP port to eight 25G SFP28 ports using passive twinax copper over a 2 m run. It suits short-reach, in-rack connections where one high-density OSFP port needs to fan out to multiple 25G servers or switch ports. Using a DAC avoids separate optical transceivers for these short links.

Enquire with XS Network Tech for new or used pricing and availability.

Features

- Breakout configuration splits one 200G OSFP port into eight 25G SFP28 connections
- Passive twinax copper construction for short-reach links
- Integrated connectors remove the need for separate optical modules

Warranty

All products sold by XS Network Tech include a 12-month warranty on both new and used items. Our in-house technical team thoroughly tests used hardware prior to sale to ensure enterprise-grade reliability.

FAQs

Q: What does this cable connect?
A: It connects one 200G OSFP port at one end to eight 25G SFP28 ports at the other end using a passive twinax copper breakout cable.

Q: How long is this cable?
A: The cable length is 2 m, intended for short-reach connections such as within a rack or between adjacent racks.

Q: Is this a fibre or copper cable?
A: It is a twinax copper direct attach cable, not a fibre cable, and is designed for short-distance links.

Q: Do I need separate transceivers to use this cable?
A: No. The OSFP and SFP28 connectors are integrated into the cable assembly, so separate optical transceivers are not required.
