Description

This passive twinax copper DAC breakout cable connects one 400G OSFP port (400GBASE-CR8, 8x50G PAM-4 lanes) to four 100G QSFP56 ports (4x 100GBASE-CR2, 2x50G lanes per leg). The 2 metre length suits short in-rack or adjacent-rack links between 400G switch ports and 100G servers, NICs or other equipment. Passive construction has no active electronics and no optical wavelength, making it a low-cost short-reach option for high-density 400G to 100G fan-out.
