Description

This 100G QSFP28 to QSFP28 active optical cable provides a 10m direct high-speed link for 100GBASE-SR4-class connections over 850nm multimode optics. It integrates the optical transceivers into a single cable assembly, making it well suited to short-reach switch-to-switch and switch-to-server connections within a rack row or data centre. The 10m length distinguishes it from shorter and longer AOC variants in the same family.

Enquire with XS Network Tech for new or used pricing and availability.

FAQs

Q: What length is this active optical cable?
A: This AOC is 10m long, with a QSFP28 connector on each end.

Q: What connectors does it use?
A: It uses QSFP28 connectors at both ends, so it connects QSFP28 ports directly with no separate transceivers required.

Q: What speed does it support?
A: It supports 100G connectivity and is a 100GBASE-SR4-class cable operating at 850nm.

Q: When should I choose an AOC instead of separate transceivers and fibre?
A: An AOC is a self-contained fixed-length assembly, which suits short point-to-point runs such as 10m links within a data centre. Separate optics with structured fibre suit longer or patch-panel based runs.
