Description

This 1000BASE-SX SFP transceiver provides Gigabit Ethernet over short-reach multimode fibre. It suits data centre and campus or enterprise networks where switch-to-switch or switch-to-server uplinks need to run over MMF cabling.

It operates at 850nm and reaches up to 550m on multimode fibre, using a duplex LC PC/UPC connector. The hot-pluggable SFP form factor installs in an SFP port on the host switch, and digital optical monitoring (DOM) is supported for link diagnostics. The module is powered from the host port, so no separate power supply is needed. It is not breakout capable.
