Description

The Cisco USB-A Headset Adapter connects a Cisco Headset 530 Series quick-disconnect headset to a PC, Mac or Cisco IP phone. It is built for open-plan offices, contact centres and shared desks where users hot-swap wired headsets at shift change and need inline call control for Cisco IP phones, softphones or Webex endpoints.

This is the USB-A, Quick Disconnect adapter variant with inline call controls, distinct from the USB-C version (CP-HS-W-USBC) and the RJ9 cable (CP-HS-W-RJ=). The inline controller handles answer, end, reject, hold/resume, mute/unmute and volume up/down. It also enables the in-call presence LED on the headset ear plate and hearing protection with acoustic spike protection to over 118 dB. Overall cord length from headset to USB is about 2.67 m. The adapter is USB bus-powered and needs no licence or subscription.

It works with Cisco Headset 531 and 532 quick-disconnect headsets and with Cisco IP phones, DX endpoints, Webex Desk Series, Cisco Jabber, Webex App and Webex Meetings. Used with compatible Cisco IP phones and management tools, it supports remote firmware upgrade, configuration management, inventory and diagnostics.
