Description

The X132 10G SFP+ LC LR transceiver is a hot-swappable optical module for 10-Gigabit Ethernet uplinks and aggregation links over single-mode fibre. It suits links between buildings, floors or data-centre rooms where multimode reach is not enough, and it fits SFP+ slots on HP ProCurve and Aruba switches.

It supports the IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-LR standard, running at 10 Gbps full duplex on a 1310 nm wavelength through a single duplex LC connector. Reach is from 2 m up to 10 km over 9/125 µm single-mode fibre. It is the original part number of the 10GBASE-LR family, so it is distinct from the later J9151E and J9151D variants, which carry different EEPROM coding.

The module is powered from the host switch SFP+ slot at 3.3 V, so no separate power supply is needed, and no licence is required. Check the HPE ArubaOS-Switch and ArubaOS-CX transceiver guide to confirm support on your specific switch model.
