Description

The Arista QSFP-100G-CWDM4 is a hot-swappable 100GBASE-CWDM4 QSFP28 transceiver for 100G links over duplex single-mode fibre with LC connectors. It follows the 100G CWDM4 MSA and suits leaf-spine interconnects and inter-building links in data centre and campus networks where the run is 2 km or less. Because it uses duplex fibre, no parallel MPO cabling is needed, which makes it a lower-cost alternative to PSM4 or LR4 optics at this reach.

The module reaches up to 2 km over G.652 single-mode fibre using four CWDM wavelengths around 1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331 nm. It supports dual-rate 100G/40G operation, so the same optic can also run at 40G. Maximum power consumption is 3.5 W, drawn from the host switch QSFP port, and no licence or subscription is required.

It fits QSFP and QSFP28 100G ports on Arista switches and interoperates with other 100GBASE-CWDM4 MSA optics over duplex single-mode fibre with LC connectors. Refer to Arista's Transceiver and Cable Guide for the supported platform list.
