Description

This 500W DC power supply is a hot-swappable module for Arista 7050X and 7280R 1RU data centre switches. It suits DC-powered facilities such as telco sites, central offices and DC-powered data halls, where it provides primary, redundant or spare power for leaf, spine and routing switches.

The module delivers 500W DC output from a nominal -48 to -60 VDC input, terminated with AWG #16-#12 wire. Maximum input current is 11.8A at -48V per the 7280R datasheet. Airflow is rear-to-front (power-to-port), matching cold-aisle and hot-aisle layouts that draw air in at the power-supply end. The module is a field-replaceable unit, so a failed PSU can be swapped without taking the switch out of service when a second supply is installed.

Airflow must match the switch fans, so this rear-to-front unit pairs with rear-to-front switch and fan configurations and should not be mixed with front-to-rear PSUs in the same chassis. The PSU itself needs no licence.
