The MSA 2062 is a 2U small-form-factor SAN storage array with dual active/active controllers and 8 integrated 10GBASE-T (RJ-45) iSCSI host ports, with no SFPs required. This 24-bay SFF model includes 2 x 1.92 TB SSDs (3.84 TB installed) with the Advanced Data Services suite preinstalled for automated tiering, snapshots and replication. It suits SMB and branch deployments needing hybrid-flash block storage that can scale through SAS expansion enclosures.

Q: Do I need SFP transceivers to connect the host ports?
A: No. The 8 host ports are 10GBASE-T (RJ-45) iSCSI ports that use standard copper Ethernet cabling, so no SFPs are required. They also auto-negotiate down to 1Gb.

Q: How many drives and how much capacity can the array scale to?
A: The 24-bay SFF chassis can be expanded with up to 9 additional drive enclosures over 12Gb SAS, reaching up to 240 SFF drives or 24 SFF plus 108 LFF drives.
