FAQs

Q: What is the difference between Port-side Exhaust and Port-side Intake?
A: Port-side Exhaust moves air from the port side to the power side (front-to-back). Port-side Intake moves air from the power side to the port side (back-to-front). Match airflow with your switch and rack design.

Q: Can I mix AC and DC power supplies in the same switch?
A: No. Do not mix AC and DC PSU types in the same chassis. Use only like-for-like PSU types supported by the switch.

Q: Is this PSU hot-swappable?
A: Yes. The module is hot-swappable when installed in a supported switch with redundant power.

Q: Does this include DC cables or lugs?
A: DC feed cables/lugs are not included. Use appropriately rated conductors and follow the switch hardware installation guide.

Q: What DC input should I provide?
A: Provide a –48 VDC or –60 VDC telecom feed within the supported range of 40–72 VDC.

Q: Do I need to match airflow across fans and PSUs?
A: Yes. Ensure PSU airflow direction matches the switch fans and your rack thermal design.
