FAQs

Q: How is the -P version different from -F?
A: -P ships without uplink optics; -F includes 16x FET-10G SFP+.

Q: Does this operate independently?
A: No, it requires and is managed by a compatible Nexus parent switch.

Q: Which optics can be used for uplinks?
A: FET-10G for short MMF runs or standard SFP+ SR/LR depending on distance and fiber type.

Q: Is Power over Ethernet supported?
A: No. This platform does not provide PoE.

Q: What Nexus families are supported?
A: Nexus switches that support FEX (e.g., 5K/6K/7K). Validate with the official compatibility matrix.
