FAQs

Q: What is the difference between -P and -F versions?
A: -P is the base module without optics; -F includes 16x FET-10G SFP+ for uplinks.

Q: Is this device managed independently?
A: No. It is managed by a parent Nexus switch that supports Fabric Extenders.

Q: Which optics are recommended for uplinks?
A: Use FET-10G for short MMF runs to the parent or SFP+ SR/LR per distance requirements.

Q: Are PoE endpoints supported?
A: No, PoE is not supported.

Q: What parent switches are compatible?
A: Nexus platforms with FEX support (e.g., 5K/6K/7K); verify exact models and NX-OS releases.
