Description

Single-wide Layer 2 switching service module for Cisco Catalyst 8300 Series Edge Platforms, adding 16 x 1G RJ-45 ports, 4 x 2.5G multigigabit RJ-45 ports and 2 x 10G SFP+ uplinks in a 22-port configuration. PoE, PoE+ and UPOE are supported on the copper ports, making it suited to powering access points, IP phones and cameras at the branch edge. As a plug-in SM slot module, it consolidates routing and switching in a single chassis. It differs from the double-wide C-SM-40P8M2X, which provides 50 ports.
