FAQs

Q: What differentiates the v2 revision?
A: It is a hardware refresh of the same port and PoE capabilities; consult release notes for specific enhancements.

Q: Which PoE standards are supported?
A: 802.3af/at (PoE/PoE+) up to 30W per port with automatic negotiation.

Q: Do SFP56 uplinks accept SFP+/SFP28 optics?
A: Yes. The uplink cages are backward compatible with SFP, SFP+, and SFP28 optics, plus DAC/AOC.

Q: Is any software license required for the line card?
A: No per-module license; features are governed by the chassis supervisor’s AOS-CX software.

Q: Are optics included?
A: No. Optics and DAC/AOC cables are sold separately.
