FAQs

Q: Which chassis is this line card compatible with?
A: It is designed for CX 6400 modular chassis, including CX 6405 (6-slot) and CX 6410 (10-slot).

Q: What PoE standard does it support?
A: IEEE 802.3af/at (PoE/PoE+) up to 30W per port, auto-negotiated per device.

Q: Are the 4 SFP56 uplinks shared with the 48 copper ports?
A: No. The 4 SFP56 uplinks are independent of the 48 RJ-45 access ports.

Q: Do the SFP56 uplinks support lower speeds like 10/25GbE?
A: Yes. They are multi-rate and backward compatible with 1/10/25GbE optics and DAC/AOC.

Q: Are optics or DAC cables included?
A: No. Transceivers and DAC/AOC cables are sold separately.

Q: How is the PoE power budget determined?
A: By the host chassis and its installed power supplies. The line card negotiates per-port power within those limits.
