The MSA 1060 is a 2U small form factor, dual-controller entry-level block storage array with 12Gb SAS host connectivity, suited to small and mid-sized workloads. This revision ships with two 2-port storage controllers (4 x 12Gb SAS host ports per array) and supports up to 24 SFF HDD and/or SSD in a hybrid or all-flash configuration. Automated tiering and snapshot-based data protection make it a practical choice for virtualisation, backup and general-purpose shared storage.

A: It uses 12Gb SAS host connectivity, with two 2-port controllers providing 4 x 12Gb SAS ports per array. The 16Gb Fibre Channel and 10GBASE-T iSCSI variants use different SKUs.

Q: How many drives does it support and what type?
A: The SFF chassis holds up to 24 HDD and/or SSD, and you can mix SSD, Enterprise SAS and Midline SAS drives for hybrid or all-flash configurations.

Q: Can the capacity be expanded?
