Description

This 2U rack-mount SAN storage array is built on the MSA 2060 platform with dual 12Gb SAS controllers and 24 small-form-factor 2.5-inch drive bays for SAS HDDs and SSDs. It is aimed at small and mid-sized businesses that need shared block storage with thin provisioning and tiering. This SFF variant has 12Gb SAS host ports and is supplied without drives, and capacity can be grown with LFF or SFF disk enclosures.

A: No. This model is supplied without drives. It has 24 x 2.5-inch SFF bays that accept SAS HDDs and SAS/SATA SSDs.

Q: What host connectivity does it use?
A: It has two controllers with four 12Gb SAS host ports each, giving eight 12Gb SAS ports in total for direct-attached or SAS-connected hosts.

Q: How can I expand capacity?
A: Capacity can be expanded with 24-bay SFF or 12-bay LFF disk enclosures. LFF and SFF enclosures can be mixed, with up to 9 expansion enclosures alongside the base unit.
