Description
This hot-swappable fan tray is a replacement for the HPE Aruba Networking 8325-32C, the 32-port 100G data-centre switch in the CX 8325 series. It provides back-to-front cooling airflow and is identified by a blue release latch. It suits top-of-rack and leaf deployments where the switch must draw cool air from the port-side back and exhaust to the front, and it serves as a spare or replacement for the chassis fan trays.
The tray is field-replaceable and hot-swappable, so a failed unit can be exchanged without taking the switch offline. The CX 8325 platform supports up to 6 fan trays per switch with N+1 fan redundancy. A fan status LED on the chassis shows green when the fans are operating normally and amber when there is a fan fault or the minimum number of fans is not installed. No licence is required as this is a hardware accessory.
This fan tray works with the 8325-32C (JL636A) only. It is not compatible with the 8325-48Y8C or with fan assemblies from other Aruba platforms. All fans and power supplies in a chassis must share the same airflow direction, so pair it with back-to-front power supplies such as the JL633A 650W AC or the JL862A 850W 48VDC. The front-to-back equivalent for the 8325-32C is JL630A.
