Description
This is a hot-swappable fan tray for the Aruba CX 8325-48Y8C data-centre switch, part of the Aruba CX 8325 Switch Series. It moves air back-to-front, from the power-supply side to the port side, which suits top-of-rack and leaf deployments where the switch ports face the cold aisle. It also serves as a spare or replacement tray for installed 8325-48Y8C switches.
The 8325-48Y8C chassis uses six fan trays, and this airflow variant is paired with the back-to-front power supplies JL633A (650W AC) or JL862A (DC). Fan trays are field-replaceable and can be swapped without affecting other modules, and the fixed fan arrangement provides N+1 redundancy with redundant, load-sharing fans.
It is built for the 8325-48Y8C (JL635A base switch) only. Every fan tray and power supply in the chassis must share the same airflow direction, so use JL628A instead if the rack needs front-to-back airflow. It is not interchangeable with the JL630A or JL631A fans used in the 8325-32C. No licence is required, as it is a passive hardware accessory powered by the host chassis.
