FAQs

Q: Which Arista chassis models are compatible with the CCS-750X-48T-LC?
A: This line card is designed for the Arista 750X Series modular switches, specifically the CCS-755 (5-slot) and CCS-758 (8-slot) chassis systems. It requires compatible supervisor and switch card modules to function.

Q: Does this line card support Power over Ethernet (PoE)?
A: The CCS-750X-48T-LC does not provide PoE capability. For PoE requirements, Arista offers alternative line cards such as the CCS-750X-48TP-LC (30W), CCS-750X-48ZP-LC (60W), or CCS-750X-48THP-LC (90W per port).

Q: Can I mix different line card models in the same 750X chassis?
A: Yes, the Arista 750X Series supports mixing and matching different line card models within the same chassis, providing flexibility for varied deployment needs and pay-as-you-grow capacity expansion.

Q: What Layer 2 and Layer 3 features does this line card support?
A: The line card supports the full Arista EOS feature set including VLANs, STP/RSTP/MSTP, MLAG for active-active redundancy, VXLAN/EVPN for segmentation, and comprehensive Layer 3 routing protocols when configured with appropriate supervisor modules.

Q: Is the line card hot-swappable for maintenance?
A: Yes, the CCS-750X-48T-LC is hot-swappable and front-accessible, allowing installation or replacement without powering down the chassis or impacting other modules, minimizing network disruption during maintenance.
