Description

The Firepower 2120 is a 1RU next-generation firewall from the Cisco Firepower 2100 Series, aimed at internet edge and branch or mid-size enterprise perimeter protection. It runs Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) or ASA software and sits between the 2110 and 2130 in the family.

It provides 12 x 10M/100M/1GBASE-T RJ-45 ports and 4 x 1G SFP ports, giving 16 data ports, plus a dedicated 10/100/1000 RJ-45 management port. Throughput is 3.4 Gbps with FW plus AVC, and 3.5 Gbps for IPS (1024B). It handles up to 1.5 million concurrent sessions and 18K new connections per second with AVC, and supports IPSec VPN throughput of 1.2 Gbps with up to 3,500 VPN peers. Power comes from a single integrated 250W AC supply. This is the chassis-only FPR2120-K9 SKU, so the NGFW subscription bundle is not part of this listing.

The four SFP ports accept 1G SFP optics, and the unit does not support network modules. It can be managed locally with Firepower Device Manager, or centrally through Management Center or Cisco Defense Orchestrator.
